LOS ANGELES, November 16, 2011 — A multitude of aspiring Santa’s are expected to descend on the Westfield Topanga in Canoga Park on Sunday, December 4th as part of the 2nd Annual Santa Walk. The red-suited walkers at this festive holiday event are expecting to raise thousands of dollars to support Southern California children in need.

Participants will walk laps around Westfield Topanga all dressed in matching Santa suits provided by Variety. This uniquely fun event offers a wonderful holiday experience for young and old alike. Variety – the Children’s Charity of Southern California Executive Director Elizabeth A. O’Neil said the objective of this year’s Santa Walk is to continue the tradition of a fun, community-based event that engages families and residents of all ages. “The Santa Walk is a great way for both individuals and families to have a lot of fun and get excited about the holidays while raising money for children that need help this Holiday Season. This year we are especially thrilled to be partnering with Westfield Topanga. The Westfield Group supports many charities on a national and global level and we are honored they are our host for this fundraiser,” said Ms. O’Neil. Last year’s event proved hugely successful and hopes to build on that success to join the ranks of similar Variety events which have been conducted all around the world – from the UK to Australia.
