Proceeds from auctions ranging from an autographed THE SIMPSONS MOVIE standee couch to a director’s chair from NATIONAL TREASURE: BOOK OF SECRETS will benefit Variety – The Children’s Charity
Hollywood, CA — December 13, 2007— Holiday shoppers have the opportunity to give some very unique gifts to their friends and family this year as they simultaneously contribute to charity. Variety – the Children’s Charity of Southern California is auctioning off a number of Hollywood items on their eBay store at http://stores.ebay.com/Variety–The–Childrens–Charity. The items range from a limited-edition, cast autographed THE SIMPSON MOVIE standee couch to world premiere tickets for RAMBO 4. Current and upcoming listings can be found on the auction site.
“We are thrilled that the studio community has once again come together to make exciting items available during the holiday season,” said Mary Nakagawa–Marti, President of Variety – The Children’s Charity of Southern California. “The charity is so grateful to everyone involved and we look forward to helping as many children in need as possible.”
New items will be posted throughout December. These include the security handbook and keys from NIGHT AT THE MUSEUM and autographed posters from SWEENEY TODD and NO COUNTRY FOR OLD MEN among other items.
Since November 2005, http://stores.ebay.com/Variety-The-Childrens-Charity has raised over $275,000 by auctioning off Hollywood and sports memorabilia. Previous auctions have included a car used in the filming of “Herbie: Fully Loaded” and shirts worn by the stars in Focus Features’ Academy Award–winning “Brokeback Mountain.” The site continuously offers exciting one–of–a–kind items available for purchase.
