This year, we are thrilled to announce Chris Aronson, Paramount Pictures’ President, Domestic Theatrical Distribution, as the 2024 Variety Career Achievement Award Recipient.

Christopher Aronson is President, Domestic Distribution, Paramount Pictures, overseeing all domestic theatrical distribution and sales for the United States and Canada.  Previously, Aronson was President, Domestic Distribution for 20th Century Fox. Aronson has also served as Executive Vice President and General Sales Manager for Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Distribution Company, and prior to that, served as Senior Vice President for Rentrak Corporation and started their theatrical division, which provides comprehensive box office data collection, analysis, and reporting for the film industry.

Mr. Aronson is synonymous with entertainment and goodwill recognized across the country and around the world for his passion and dedication to the motion picture community and unwavering devotion to non-profits serving in key leadership roles. Aronson is the past Chairman and President of the Will Rogers Motion Pictures Pioneer Foundation, Board of Directors, Lollipop Theater and key member of the President’s Council, Variety the Children’s Charity in addition to a member of the Academy’s Executive Branch and a member of the Executives Branch Executive Committee.
